As a church caretaker with us, you will be part of the Property and Service Unit together with three caretakers and two supervisors. The main tasks involve caretaker duties in connection with worship services and church activities (baptisms, weddings, funerals), concerts, etc. The position includes service to all activities, minor property maintenance, and repairs in our churches/locations, as well as adjacent green areas. Examples of responsibilities in property maintenance include lawn mowing, snow shoveling, and managing heating and ventilation systems, etc.

Qualifications

Driver's license B

You have at least a high school diploma, basic computer skills/system knowledge, and training or experience in property management and maintenance.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge to perform simple carpentry/repair work and handling of lighting/sound systems. Knowledge in electrical and plumbing systems is also a plus.

We are looking for someone with good social skills, who is flexible and service-oriented. You enjoy working with others but also thrive when working alone. You are used to managing your time and completing tasks within given deadlines. Your work approach is characterized by accuracy and responsibility, and you have the ability to solve problems that may arise in the job.

As a church caretaker, you will meet many people of different ages and life stages, so you need to be attentive and have good service skills.

Conditions

Permanent position with a probationary period.

The work is scheduled according to the needs of the activities and therefore includes evening/weekend shifts according to a schedule.

We expect you to be a member of the Church of Sweden and share its beliefs and values.
